Vegan Sauce Recipes

One of my favorite parts of Stardew Valley is the Queen of Sauce because that’s how I feel sometimes. I always need to know where the sauce is, and that’s why I love these vegan sauce recipes. One of my favorite meals is a rice bowl, and what’s a good rice bowl without a delicious sauce to tie the meal together.

Nut-Based Sauces

My favorite plant-based creamy sauces are nut-based because blended nuts will give a nice creamy, fatty taste without using dairy or mayo. Often I like to use cashews because they aren’t too hard and they have a good flavor. If you don’t have a high speed blender that can blend nuts here are a few of my suggestions. You can use nut butter like peanut butter or cashew butter that has already been ground into a smooth paste. Nut butters may have extra oil, but you should be able to get a similar texture and flavor.

Another tip that I use in my nutritional yeast dressing is you use almond flour. Almond flour is just ground up almonds that stops before it starts to form a paste like almond butter. By using almond flour or peanut butter powder, you already have a finely ground powder that should mix better with the other ingredients even in a less powerful blender. Tomato-Based Sauces

Some other great sauces that I love to make are tomato-based which is a great way to get more vegetables into a meal and add color. First I’ve got a basic marinara sauce that will taste so much better than the jar. The trick is to add some red wine while you are cooking the sauce which really compliments the tomatoes and builds a deep flavor. The other sauce doesn’t require the stove, and it’s a great way to use up any extra tomatoes you have around. Romesco sauce is kind of like a red pesto and it also goes great on pasta or a grain bowl. Get the recieps below!
